While researching a re-write of the SAR Techniques class I ran across an article on search theory written by Tom Russo, of Cibola Search And Rescue. The article introduces additional articles and papers on maritime sweep tests, and applies the new information to the existing search theory taught in most Managing Search Operations classes. As with seemingly all search theory texts, it’s a bit heavy of math. But the author makes it quite readable, and very much worth a look.
